DCR’s Division of Water Supply Protection (DWSP) is collecting public feedback on proposed forestry projects for 2026.

DWSP has a useful map where proposed projects are outlined. Click on each project to access a detailed proposal for that particular project, including the existing conditions, the reasons for the proposed project, and details about how the work will be carried out. There is a link to a public comment form on the upper right side of the map. You can also click through to see past completed forest management projects, including photographs before and after harvest and in succeeding years.

DCR will hold a Wachusett Reservoir Forestry Projects Information Session on Tuesday, September 30 at 7 pm at John Augustus Hall in West Boylston.

Public comment on the proposals will be accepted until October 16.
