Safer, Smarter, Tree and Forestry Operations

The discussion will highlight how the right equipment can help reduce hands-on risk during some of the most dangerous parts of the job.  Topics will include equipment and attachments that help reduce direct worker exposure where injuries are most likely to occur. The discussion will also cover the value of rentals and leases, which can give municipalities, arborists, and contractors access to larger or specialized equipment when they need it most, especially for seasonal work or one-off projects.

Who Shapes the Urban Canopy?

Learn about training and pruning practices in Massachusetts. Tes is developing management plans for forested parcels belonging to the University. Her research focus is urban microforests. Tes is the Tree Warden for Colrain, MA, and a Massachusetts Qualified Tree Warden.
