Vermont Woodlands Association will hold a Winter Wildlife Tracking Workshop at the VINS Nature Center in Quechee, VT on Saturday, March 14th from 10 am to 1 pm.

This partner event with Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) will investigate wildlife habitat, examine food sources, bedding, and edge habitat along a forest floodplain along the Ottauquechee River.

We will be alert for signs of river otters, deer, foxes, coyotes, bobcats, eagles, porcupines, and many other species. Participants should be prepared for walking in snow along woodland trails that are not maintained for human foot travel in the winter.

The workshop will be led by Alden Smith, Executive Director of VINS.

The workshop will run from 10am-12pm, feel free to stay until 1pm for more time to socialize, ask questions and eat (bring-your-own) lunch.
