Women Owning Woodlands Network (WOW Net) and the Forest Stewards Guild will hold a series of 4 weekly workshops in May to help women landowners and forestry professionals from across the Northeast, mid-Atlantic, and Great Lakes regions address topics on forest dynamics and stewardship.
This webinar series is based on the new “Women on the Land” publication that came out last month. Each session is interactive and will offer opportunities to connect with fellow women woodland owners and enthusiasts!
The webinars will take place Wednesdays in May, from 12:30-2 pm. They will include:
- May 5: Forest Ecology & Forest Succession
- May 12: Creating a Plan and Working with a Forester
- May 19: Active Stewardship
- May 26: The Future of Your Woodland
The second workshop in the series will be held on May 12th and discuss how landowners can create a plan for managing their land and how to choose and work with a forester to develop it.
