Women Owning Woodlands will hold a two-day Women’s Game of Logging Chainsaw Training at Merck Forest and Farmland Center in Rupert, Vermont on Saturday and Sunday, September 19th & 20th from 8 am to 4 pm
Game of Logging is a world renowned chainsaw safety training course. This women-only two-level course will be held at the Merck Forest and Farmland Center, a 3,200+ acre educational environmental non-profit in Rupert, Vermont. The course will be held from 8am to 4pm on September 19th and 20th.
Level 1, covered on Saturday, September 19th, will focus on precision felling techniques. Level 2, covered on Sunday, September 20th, will focus on Maximizing Saw Performance. Level 1 is required before taking Level 2. (People signing up for ONLY LEVEL 1 will be placed on a waitlist to avoid having Level 1 fill at the loss of Level 2 participants.)
Pre-registration is required. Participants must bring a sound hard hat and chaps. Minimum age is 18 years. Course fees: $200 per level / $175 for members (Memberships are $50/year).
