Working Sugarbush Field Tours

Women and Our Woods will hold Working Sugarbush Field Tours at the Smokey House Center in Danby, VT on September 7^th from 9 am to 3:30 pm

Rose Gellman, Forestry Research and Apprenticeship Coordinator at Smokey House, and Fen Levy-O’Malley, Forest Conservation Senior Associate with Audubon VT, will lead tours of Smokey House’s historic and future sugarbushes and discuss the history of maple production at Smokey House, current and future forest management projects on the property, and the importance of forest stewardship to bird populations and biodiversity.

This event is aimed at women and nonbinary landowners and woodland enthusiasts, but all are welcome to attend!
