Got Questions About the Health of Your Trees?  Take a DCR Forest Health Webinar

The Department of Conservation & Recreation’s Forest Health Program will be holding 6 one-hour Forest Health webinars in December to explain which pests and diseases are currently threatening trees in Massachusetts.

Webinars will be held on the following topics and dates in December:

Gypsy Moth & Hardwood Defoliators in Massachusetts            December 1st ,          noon

Beech Leaf Disease in Massachusetts                                              December 3rd ,          7 pm

Emerald Ash Borer in Massachusetts                                             December 8th ,          noon

Identifying Oak Wilt Disease                                                            December 10th ,        7 pm

Asian long-horned Beetles                                                                December 15th ,        noon

Southern Pine Beetles                                                                        December 17th,         7 pm

Each webinar will explain how to identify specific pests, what damage they cause, their life cycles, and how they can be controlled.  Each webinar will include a question and answer time for participants to get specific questions answered.

Webinars are free and open to all.  Because space is limited, participants must register beforehand.  Registration deadlines for each webinar are listed in the Calendar listing for the webinar on this website, or on the DCR event page

Continuing education credits for licensed foresters or arborists are available for each webinar.
