Vermont Land Trust will hold a Wildflowers and Peat: Mysteries and Magic of Vermont’s Bogs and Fens webinar on July 10th from 7 to 8 pm

In this webinar by ecologist Liz Thompson, we’ll learn how bogs and fens are formed and how they develop and change over time, and we will see some of the beautiful wildflowers, sedges, shrubs, and trees that grow in them.

The webinar will feature several different Vermont peatlands, a few of which you can visit on your own. Although this is mainly a botanical explore, we will also share some of the insects and birds that grace these beautiful wetlands.
