The Northfield Mountain Environmental Center will hold a free Mushroom Walk on Saturday, September 26^th, from 10 am to Noon.

Join Naturalist Jonathan Kranz as he teaches safe and responsible foraging methods. Along the way, discover the most delectable edibles, the deadliest toxics, and simply the most beautiful mushrooms our region of New England can provide.

You’ll learn the basics of identification, the strange lifestyles of fungi, and the tips and secrets to happy mushroom hunting.
