Culverts under siege by persistent beaver damming? Roads being flooded and town residents exasperated?

The UMass Transportation Center will hold a Best Management Practices in Beaver Control workshop at the Bellingham Police Station in Bellingham, MA on April 17th from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm.

This workshop will cover beaver behavior, best management practices, and Massachusetts regulations and permitting process.

Learn about pond-leveler pipes and culvert protection strategies.  Includes afternoon site visits for hands-on location-specific analysis.  Participants should dress for the elements!

This workshop series is geared for DPW/Highway Department personnel.  Private sector participants with an interest in the subject matter are welcome.

 

Cost of this workshop for public employees is $75, for private workers $150.
