Want to Connect young learners, age 3-6, with the natural world?

Massachusetts Project Learning Tree will hold Environmental Experiences for Early Childhood – a Project Learning Tree® Workshop for PreK-K Educators on Saturday March 23rd from 10 am to 1:30 pm at the Notch Visitor Center in Amherst.

The workshop is a fun, hands-on workshop featuring the award-winning Project Learning Tree® (PLT) curriculum, facilitated by experienced early-childhood and environmental center educators.

The PLT curriculum include inquiry-based, teacher-led activities and child-directed experiences and incorporates science, social studies, math, language arts, art and music.  They are adaptable to a variety of situations and follow typical preschool routines.  Try out and discuss activities with peers in a collegial setting.

The workshop is suitable for teachers from early learning centers, public and private schools, non-formal educators, and anyone wanting to bring the environment into their work with young children.  All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Cost of the workshop is $16, including the curriculum guide jam-packed with exciting, ready-to-use activities, an accompanying musical CD,  a Certificate of Completion, and handouts.

To register, please contact Gini Traub, workshop co-facilitator, at  Gini.Traub@mass.gov or 617/699-2387 cell, by Saturday, March 16.
