The US Forest Service in partnership with the US Biochar Initiative and the Southern Regional Extension Forestry will hold a Biochar Production in the Field: Opportunities and Challenges webinar on June 16, 2022 from 11am to noon EDT.
This month’s speaker is Darren McAvoy, Extension Assistant Professor of Forestry at Utah State University.
Dr. McAvoy has developed big box biochar kilns. He has many publications and has published 456 Online Videos many of them related to biochar, forest operations, and best management practices. He conducts research on biochar, water conservation, wildland fire and forest restoration.
