The Department of Conservation & Recreation”s Service Forestry Program will hold 10 Chapter 132 workshops for licensed timber harvesters between June 3rd and June 27th. The workshops will provide training in the Forest Cutting Practices regulations under Chapter 132 that is required for harvesters to maintain their licenses.
Each workshop will have review the Chapter 132 Rules & Regulations and provide updates
A Chapter 132 workshop will be held at the Old Barn at Myles Standish State Forest in South Carver on June 9th from 1 to 4 pm.
The workshop will discuss making Small Changes to have Large Impacts in timber harvests. It will discuss ways to implement wildlife habitat improvements, improve aesthetics and incorporate carbon management in timber harvests.
