Are you planning for the future of your land and interested in permanently protecting it? Do you have questions about what a conservation easement is, or what the process means for you?
UNH Extension will hold a Conservation Easements & Protecting Your Land workshop at the Rochester City Hall Annex in Rochester, NH on April 18th from 9 am to 1 pm.
This workshop will provide an overview of land conservation options, land stewardship implications, landowner flexibility in management, the process, role and responsibilities of land trusts, and regional conservation values.
Participants will hear from local landowners about their own experience with putting their land into an easement.
This workshop will take place indoors and outside in the field. Please dress accordingly and bring a water bottle.
**Parking and entry are behind the building.
Instructors: Sara Callaghan, UNH Cooperative Extension; Ben Engel, Conservation Project Manager, Southeast Land Trust (S.E.L.T.); Veronica Bodge, Land Agent, and Jillian Eldridge, Executive Director, Moose Mountains Regional Greenways; local landowners.
