The Department of Conservation & Recreation will hold a Crafting Bird Habitat tour at the Bidwell House Museum in Monterey on April 26th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.

Tom Ryan, DCR Service Forester, will lead an evening hike on the grounds of the Bidwell House Museum and provide an overview of the Forester for the Birds program.

The guided hike will be on established trails and stopping at locations to view pro-active forest management activities that have benefitted migratory song birds which are most active at this time of the year at dawn and dusk.

Registration is required with participation limited to the first 30 registrants. Be prepared for hiking in the woods on uneven trails, please bring your own water and bug repellant.

The Bidwell House Museum in Monterey as well as other locations throughout the state are featured on the DCR Foresters for the Birds Program website for self-guided hikes.
