The Forest Stewards Guild and state partners will hold a 3-part mini-series on different aspects of the importance of increasing oak resiliency in southern New England forests between April 27th and May 4th.

Each session will focus on a specific topic, including wildlife, forestry, and climate change, and feature natural resource professionals from Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

The third session on the Effects of Climate Change on Oak Resiliency will be held on May 4th from 4 to 5 pm EDT and feature forester Andrea Urbano from Connecticut DEEP.

How will changes in weather and climate affect our oak woodlands?  Andrea will discuss this and how we might prepare to make oak woodlands more resilient to climate changes.
