The Forest Stewards Guild and state partners will hold a 3-part mini-series on different aspects of the importance of increasing oak resiliency in southern New England forests between April 27th and May 4th.

Each session will focus on a specific topic, including wildlife, forestry, and climate change, and feature natural resource professionals from Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

The second session on Oak Forestry will be held on April 29th from 4 to 5 pm and feature forester Fern Graves from Rhode Island DEM.

Fern will discuss some potential management activities you might undertake to improve the viability of oak woodlands.
