Forest Cutting Practices Workshop for Licensed Harvesters

The Department of Conservation & Recreation will hold a Forest Cutting Practices workshop for licensed timber harvesters at the Sandisfield Art Center on Hammertown Road in Sandisfield on June 19^th from 1 to 4 pm.

The workshop will include a discussion of forest management & recreational trail development on adjoining ownerships, as well as DCR management and forest health program updates. 

This workshop will meet the requirement that harvesters must take a 3-hour refresher on Massachusetts forestry laws and regulations at least once every 3 years.

Directions:  Access is best off Route 57.  Park around the perimeter of the SAC building and on lower part of Hammertown Road (do not block road).
