Forest Cutting Practices Workshop for Licensed Harvesters

The Department of Conservation & Recreation will hold a Forest Cutting Practices workshop for licensed timber harvesters at the Woods Memorial Library in Barre on June 13^th from 1 to 4 p.m.

The workshop will include a review of the use of BMPs in harvesting and forestry regulations, as well as an update on gypsy moths.  The field tour will visit gypsy moth defoliation sites pre and post harvest.

This workshop will meet the requirement that harvesters must take a 3-hour refresher on Massachusetts forestry laws and regulations at least once every 3 years.
