New Hampshire Timberland Owners Association will hold a Forest Fungi: Secret Underground Relationships and Above Ground Evidence workshop on September 16th from 5 to 7 p.m. at the UNH Sawmill in Durham NH

Did you know the largest living organism on the planet is a fungus?  At this workshop, Mike Simmons from UNH Extension will explain the ecology of fungi, their underground relationships, and above ground evidence.  The focus is on beneficial mycorrhizal relationships, but pathogens will also be discussed.  We will identify and examine common fungi in the field.

Cost of the workshop is $30 for NHTOA members, $45 for non-members.

For information, call 603 224-9699 or email info@nhtoa.org.
