Due to stormy weather on July 31st, this Woods Walk has been rescheduled to August 7th at 6 p.m.

The Woodlands Partnership of Northwest Massachusetts, the New England Forestry Foundation, and Mass Audubon will hold a Forest Management Woods Walk at the Notch Reservoir in North Adams on Wednesday, July 31 at 6 pm.

This walk will examine upcoming forest management work on the city-owned property designed to encourage diverse tree species and ages that will favor climate-adapted species.

To learn more before attending, you can view the Operations Plan for the project and the Forest Stewardship Plan that was developed.

The walk will meet at the Bellows Pipe trailhead adjacent to 1130 Reservoir Road in North Adams.  Participants should dress according to the weather conditions and bring insect spray.

The walk is free of charge, but participants are asked to RSVP by emailing Andrew Randazzo at Mass Audubon at arandazzo@massaudubon.org or call 413 252-9534.
