The Pioneer Valley Fern Society and Rattlesnake Gutter Trust will hold a Guided Fern Walk on Sunday, July 11th from 2 to 4 pm at the 4H Forest on Shutesbury Road in Leverett.
Randy Stone from the Fern Society will discuss key features to look for when identifying any fern. Then he’ll show how to identify a dozen or more of the common ferns and some uncommon ones too along the trail.
Participants should dress for possible mud, poison ivy or ticks. We are fully vaccinated & hope our participants will be as well. If not, please wear a mask.
Meet at Parking Lot off Shutesbury Rd at 2 PM.
Directions: From Leverett Town Hall turn left/south and then bear left on Shutesbury Road. The 4-H Forest sign and parking lot are about 0.5 Miles from the Town Hall. Free & open to the public
