DCR’s Forest Health Program will hold a series of 6 Winter Webinars in December on current forest health threats in Massachusetts.

The first webinar will be on Gypsy Moth and Hardwood Defoliators of Massachusetts on Tuesday, December 1st from noon to 1 pm.

DCR Forest Health Specialist, Felicia Hubacz will discuss the recent gypsy moth outbreak event and the lasting impact on our oak forests statewide. Participants will learn how to identify and manage gypsy moth, as well as, other common invasive and native defoliator species. There will be plenty of time for any questions you might have about defoliators in our hardwood forests.

Professional credits will be available for MCA and ISA CEUs, as well as, 1 contact hour credit for Massachusetts pesticide categories 35, 36, and applicator’s license.

The webinar is open to all and free of charge, but space is limited.
