New Hampshire Timberland Owners Association will hold a Hardwood Log Processing & Scaling workshop at DH Hardwick & Sons in Bennington, NH on May 15th from1 to 4 pm

In this workshop, using specification sheets, participants will assess tree length logs for best value, mark them, and discuss decisions with industry professionals.

Logs will then be bucked under the professional’s guidelines.  Participants will scale and grade the logs, record the numbers, and compare with the grade and scale given by the professionals.

Instructors: Scott Astle, Co-owner, log buyer, log sales, veneer specialist, Timber East; Karla Allen, Log Procurement Forester & Trucking Coordinator, Hancock Lumber, NHLA Inspection School graduate.

Cost of this workshop is $30 for NHTOA members, $45 non-members
