Private woodland owners conduct most of the sustainable forest management in New Jersey. But costs and activity demands have increased dramatically.

New Jersey Forestry Association will hold an Ins & Outs of Programs to Support Sustainable Forestry Practices webinar on Thursday, September 17th from 7 to 8:30 pm

Labor rates, specialized equipment, and a combination of damaging pests, diseases, weather events, invasive plants and stand aging are impacting woodland landowners. Fortunately, the NRCS has three funding programs to help.

In this webinar, Don Donnelly, USDA/NRCS NJ State Forester, and Alyssa Megonigal, Stewardship Specialist, NJ Audubon & USDA/NRCS Partner Biologist will join NJFA host Richard Kelsky for a presentation on:

  • Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP)
  • Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP)
  • Regeneration Pilot Program (RPP).

If you own woodlands, you will want to learn more about each of these programs, what activities they cover, how each provides financial assistance, and the application, approval and payment process.
