UMass Extension is holding a Invasive Forest & Agricultural Insects in Massachusetts workshop at the Hadley Farms Meeting House on February 16th from 9 am to 2:30 p.m.

The workshop is part 2 of the Invasive Insect Management Certification Program UMass has developed.

The Certification program looks at the characteristics of invasive insects, the impacts and costs they have regionally and nationwide, and highlights the biology, ecology, and identification of some of the most destructive insects. This includes (but is not limited to) the Asian longhorned beetle, cynipid oak gall wasp, emerald ash borer, gypsy moth, hemlock woolly adelgid, winter moth, and more.
