Vermont LEAP will hold a Maple: To Tap or to Cut? Workshop at Sterling College in Craftsbury Common, VT on June 13th from 8 am to 3:30 pm.

This timely and informative workshop is focused on what makes a healthy sugarbush—and how to manage yours for both sap and timber value.

Morning sessions will feature indoor presentations, including a discussion on the silviculture of a productive and resilient sugarbush, along with tools for evaluating whether a maple tree is more valuable as a sap producer or a timber asset.

In the afternoon, we’ll head into the sugarbush for hands-on learning in the woods. This workshop is sponsored by LEAP and open to all. SAF Forester credits and LEAP credits are available.

Registration is $60 and includes lunch.
