The Plainfield Tree Alliance will hold a program on Street Tree Maintenance: the Role of Volunteers at the Town Hall on Main Street on Thursday, February 28th from 7 to 8:15 pm.

Rick Harper from the UMass Department of Environmental Conservation will discuss the effects of climate change, extreme weather, pests, disease on the maintenance of street trees, and how volunteers can help.

The Plainfield Tree Alliance works to preserve mature trees in Plainfield, to replant trees that are removed, and ensure that wood from public shade trees that are removed is put to good use.
