The Massachusetts Maple Producers Association will hold two workshops on maple sugaring on October 14th from 10 am to 3 pm at South Face Farm in Ashfield.
In the morning there will be a Sugarbush Management Workshop with forester Lincoln Fish. Growers can learn about monitoring tree health, thinning, and other skills you need to have to keep your sugarbush healthy.
In the afternoon, sugarmaker Tom McCrumm will offer a workshop on Setting up and Maintaining Sap Tubing Systems.
Cost is $20 for members and $30 for non-members, and includes lunch.
