Curious about how foresters choose which trees to harvest and which to keep growing? Interested in where trees being cut are going?
The New England Forestry Foundation will hold a Timber Harvest Tour at its Stetson Phelps Pine Ridge Tree Farm in Hawley on October 30th at 9 am.
This tour will provide an opportunity for participants to learn more about how we conserve and manage our lands and set up harvests.
The tour will meet at the intersection of Stetson Road and Route 8A in Hawley. Participants should dress for the weather.
