Women and Out Woods and Vermont Land Trust will hold Women’s Game of Logging Levels 3 & 4 training at the Pratt Refuge in Duxbury Vermont on October 10th & 11th from 8 am to 4 pm.

This Game of Logging (GOL) training uses a world-recognized training curriculum that combines Scandinavian logging techniques with the latest systems for working safely around trees.

The GOL program is broken into four separate levels.

Level 3 will be offered on Saturday, October 10th and covers how to fell difficult trees, working with heavy back and side leans and bucking and limbing cuts.

Level 4 will be offered on Sunday, October 11th and provides participants with skills and techniques for dealing with storm damaged trees. Each person in the class will have an opportunity to fell a tree each day.

To participate in Level 3, you need to have completed Levels 1 and 2. Level 4 is open to those who have completed Level 3.

Class size is limited to 10 participants. The cost for this class is $200/day, plus fees.
