The Massachusetts Statewide Wood Energy Team will hold a Worcester County Modern Wood Heat Tour on March 30th featuring wood heat installations at 4 Worcester County locations.
In the morning, the tour will visit Briggs Elementary School in Ashburnham (pellet boiler) and Mt Wachusett Community College in Gardner (wood chip boiler). For a lunchtime presentation, Marc Caluwe will speak about wood chip systems and a representative of the DOE combined heat and power program will provide an overview of their program activities. In the afternoon, the group will visit the wood chip system at Narragansett Regional High School in Baldwinville and the cordwood system at Harvard Forest in Petersham.
