Penn State Extension will hold two one-hour Trees for Trout: Opportunities for Installing Streamside Forest Buffers webinars on September 12th at noon and 7 p.m.

Streamside forest buffers stabilize streambanks, reduce erosion, restore natural flow patterns to waterways, provide wildlife habitat (including pollinators), as well as provide opportunities for income.

Learn about why these buffers are so important and the different types of buffers that may suit your interests. We’ll also cover funding and financing opportunities.

The webinar will be presented by Teddi Stark, Riparian Forest Buffer Coordinator, DCNR Bureau of Forestry, and Allyson Muth, Forest Stewardship Program Associate, Center for Private Forests at Penn State.

These webinars are approved for 1.0 Society of American Foresters CFE credit, Category 1-CF. Approved for 1 credit hour (0.25 years) Pennsylvania SFI® CE.
