Forest Cutting Practices Workshop for Licensed Harvesters

The Department of Conservation & Recreation will hold a Forest Cutting Practices workshop for licensed timber harvesters at the Chartley Market on Route 118 in Rehoboth on June 18^th from 9 am to noon.

The workshop will include a review of the use of BMPs in a recent timber harvest, and a presentation on Reading the Woodland Landscape.  Participants will carpool to a harvest site 3½ miles away.

This workshop will meet the requirement that harvesters must take a 3-hour refresher on Massachusetts forestry laws and regulations at least once every 3 years.
